  6. Hi Guys Thank you for the great race feedback. We know the bike route is an issue and we are looking at two plans for the march race and going forward: 1) 30km long bike lap x 3 - it will spread the guys out and extending the route along the quieter Dargle road will make it quieter. 2) Application for road closure for the 4th time. Failing full road closure approval, we will apply for Road closure along certain sections of the bike route. Thank you for the support and we hope to see you back in March 2014. Regards The B-Active Sports Team.
  7. Hi there I have had the pleasure of owning a Polar, a Garmin , Suunto and a Timex. Noted the Polar wasn't a GPS but the others were. I have two comments to make here: 1) My Garmin Edge bike computer's buttons recently stopped working, so I called Garmin SA and they said they couldn't fix it, but would trade it in on the new 910xt for around R2000 or a Edge 500 for R1000 No questions asked and they didn't need a slip or even the HR strap and charger. I took the 910XT deal as that kind of after sales service is uncommon and to me it was a great deal for a GPS / HR watch that prices at R5250.00. 2) The downloading is simple and easy and the Garmin site and software is brilliant. Definately better then the others that I have used by a long way. The Bryton might be just as good, but my suggestion is to not take the risk for the extra R850

  18. Well done to all our athletes! The Results are up pn our website including split times. Thanks for that comparative Simhen, Our bike is exactly 3.06km short (Garmin & Timex measured) short and this is due to the MASSIVE hill just past the turn point. However its within the 5% variation allowance. The run route is harder then it looks, beacuse its undulating.... but its an honest running course. Anyway well to done to all competitors. Look out for a bigger and better Series in 2013. We have some exciting plans ahead. If you have any constructive comments and feedback, please email us: info@midlandsultra.com Rest those legs this week and hope to see you on the 3rd of March 2013. Cheers Damian, Caryn and the B-Active Team

  20. Hi Guys Transition will be first come first serve. I have advised the Ref accordingly... the KZN ones barring 1 ref are good on those calls. Thanks Damian
  21. Hi Garfield We look at weather 24 and a few others. But there are some conflicting reports. We expect some drizzel but not too much and then for it to clear up and become hot. So bring your winter woolies, dry-mac and suncream just to be safe! Regarding your questions... you will need to clear these on the day with the KZNTA Officials. We will once again have a cooler box at the run exit for you to leave your bottles in, you can collect for the bike and run if you like? Regarding the crate, this will be up to the officials. We just organise the races... following their rules. Sorry! Cheers Damian
  22. Hi All Weather looking better Sun http://weather.news24.com/Images/Icons/Forecasts/2.gif More sun than clouds. Warm. 28°C 13°C / 15km/h NW / 10% precipitation 1 problem out of our control is fuel, please fill up where you can, some places around Midmar are already empty!! Have a great week
  23. Sun, Oct 07 http://weather.news24.com/Images/Icons/Forecasts/4.gif Afternoon clouds. Mild. 22°C to 9°C temp / Wind 14km/h E / 55% Humidity / 18°C comfort level * Looks like we will have a great day. See you there.
  24. Morning all. The water Temp has been around 20deg for the past 2 weeks. So I think the chance is quite high of a wetsuit swim. However a FINAL decision can only be made at 6am on the day by the Triathlon SA officials as per Triathlon SA rules. We have no say at all. Have a great week and see you are registration. The B-Active Team
  25. Hey guys Water temp is still around 20degrees, so looks like it might be a wetsuit swim! Happy training!
