After having convinced myself that the entry fee is worth the experience and then doing the same with my brother, I'm now entered to ride the 2012 Tour de Tuli :o

Anyone else entered? Any advise from TdT veterans?

I did my first one last year. First piece of advice.........GO TUBELESS!!!

The riding can be technical at times due to the sand and rocks, not much climbing. Will be doing it again this year but the proce increase this year was really steep.

Yep, the price is heavy - but I figured worth the experience. I guess you agree if you are doing it again. See you there

Get fit enough so that you can have six beers in the evening without dying the next day.

Only six?

I think that it is actually compulsory to go tubeless. I may be wrong though.

I did it last year for the first time and I found it very tough. Probably because I had more than 6 beers a night. :whistling: . It was fantastic.

Yip, do not underestimate the ride, yes its not a race but you are riding through the bush, literally, lots of thorns, sand, rocks, river beds.

The scenery however is magnificent!

Yes, tubeless is compulsory but we had someone in our group that did not have it and she lost both tubes within the first 10 kay's of the first day. Had to do an on the go conversion!
