zniper Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 hi be VERY careful.... i ride there often with the enduro mx bike. seen loads of dodgey stuff... dead animals. shotgun&9mm shells. loads of sink holes. loads of shafts (black holes). Tons of illegal miners. and then lastly brandy brigade with sidexsides and quads (guys drinking and riding bikes :S).... go in big numbers and stay on the dirt road ! also that thick sand with MTB is going to be really rough getting through !

I last rode there about 5 years ago. Sounds like it is a bit rougher now. We must make a plan a do it again... I managed to ride the whole sandy bit. But I was the only one in our group.

RockCoach Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Which sandy bit? If I remember correctly it was quite close to the tall, steep minedump. The "Bowl" is an apt word to describe it as it was a bit lower than than the surrounding terrain.
