New MTB help!

Hi all.....I know most are saying, sh@t not another new MTB bike topic...so I will understand if some don't help out, but for those that will, I am looking to upgrade.

 

Currently I have a diamond back MTB hard tail

I wieght in at a staggering 100kg, & am 1.9m tall (big boy)

I enjoy riding on the road, pavements & offroad trails...no races yet

 

I am looking to upgrade to a full suspension bike with 29" wheels

 

I am willing to spend +/- R20K (which started out at R10K, but cannot find much in full suspension)

 

I have looked around and have a liking to the following brands in that price range,

• Trek
  
• Ghost
  
• Giant
  
• KTM
  

I have not seen any, cannondale, specialized, meridia, etc at any of the 4 shops I have been to (so not sure if I should be going out of my way to check out these other brands as well).

 

I suppose the real question will be, is the one better than the other or are they all much of a muchness when you are looking in a certain price range, so then it will come down to preference on design and paint job!?!

thats not weird, most mtbers I know are in the 90kg range, and same lenght, I for one = 92kg and 1.92m.

You're not that big of a boy :-)
