RockCoach Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I do worry about blikseming off.The way I taught myself was on a MTB. Your weight is further back so you should be more stable. You can even put flat pedals on and lower the saddle. Hold onto a wall like in a passage or a counter. Probably took me about 30 minutes before I got it right.
RockCoach Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I bliksemed off rollers once.... was *** funny for my family who were watching at the time! Yes, you imagine that if you go off the edge of the rollers you will take off leaving burn marks in the carpet. The truth is your wheels stop very quickly and you just fall over. Fortunately, every time I have ridden off I have managed to unclip or grab the wall before falling.
OneMac Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) I have both at the moment. My rollers are simply mining conveyor rollers with a size 24 tube making them roll together. There is more than enough resistance to give me a decent workout. 45 minutes on the rollers is like an hour 15 on the A frame.I have also fallen off a number of times, but hay that is part of the fun. Just make sure the prize vase is not near Edited May 15, 2012 by OneMac
