Anyone own one of these and are they OK? Looking to buy one - looks good and price is right R3000. I don't plan on being competitive and won't do much MTBing at all, but would like dual purpose without paying a fortune.

 

Just don't want it to break down a few months down the line....

Should be fine might want to go disk brakes over the v brakes if you can get a price on the 2 models above yours

Thanks, I wouldn't mind the disk brakes, but for an extra R1000 or more, is it really worth breaking the bank? I have limited funds available for this and I'm not the next Lance Armstrong, not by a long shot! I think in my case it's a nice-to-have rather than have-to-have.

LOL its legs and lungs that will make u faster.It really comes down to your wallet.I would get the disks better stopping.Although would need to be bled @ some point.Which should be 1 way bleeding with the tektro brakes = easy or would have to take to LBshop which means wallet again so up to you.
