Seems that some of the guys on the other forums are having a BIG bitch that the World Cup is going back to Willingen in Germany and that we have won the rights to hold the World Champs ....

Wish they all knew what ACTUALLY goes into applying for and ultimately winning a bid to host a world cup, let alone the world Champs.

Pity there is no world cup in the USA this coming year, and IF the round in China is accepted then "maybe" for 2014 an event could also be held in Australia or in New Zealand???

Nice to see that Andorra has been included again ... i hear that was a cool venue.

it seems as well that the UCI are trying to lessen expenses by having more double-hitter rounds, which combine the XC and DH in one place. Good thinking IMO .....

Yeah, that was a happy hunting ground for the Athertons, with all three of them taking wins in 2008.

I saw a calendar a while back where the worlds Masters, XC, DH would have been held on 3 separate weekends. Which sucked for me cos I wanted to try do the masters then hang for the DH worlds.

 

From what I can see here they compressing the whole affair to 2 weekends. That rocks cos I will be able to do masters and hang for worlds.

Correct-a-mundo .... the schedule got too drawn out - so Alec applied to the UCI to compress it all again ...

 

So now we have a CSA event on the 16th to the 18th of August (DH and XC)

Then masters worlds the next weekend

Then the main worlds the weekend after

That would be asking a bit too much. 2 weekends I could do but 3. Aikonah. I Have to do my annual France trip too ya know.

already told them that i will hand over the course for the CSA event and then its their problem to return it to the state it was handed over BEFORE the Masters Worlds.
