FynbosMan is Cape Town's cheapest and least organised triathlon. It's so cheap, in fact, that it costs nothing.

 

Like most things in life you get what you pay for: there are no t-shirts, no support vehicles, no medical tents, no transition areas and no medals afterwards. Someone won’t be shouting your name when you cross the finish line, mainly because there is no official finish line, but also because there no person doing the announcing. There also isn’t a goodie bag, so don't ask.

 

There may be one or more of the following available:

• Camaraderie
• Beer (please bring your own)
• A sense of achievement
• Fun

The event entails a 1.5km swim, a 100km bike and a 17km run.
