start groups for the One tonner

Does anyone know how the start groups for the One Tonner work, my start group is T but what i want to know is do all the groups start close together. my dad rode the Engen dynamic and was put in U but he started with the E bunch all the way to Z they started together. will it by similar.

 

i want to ride with the G bunch how far back is T ? minutes wise

It's a PPA ride, so you can start where you're seeded (T) or lower. So you can join your dad in U, but you can't just start in G "because you want to". Your buddy in G can start with you, though. And esp at OneTonner this happens a lot where people drop down, because of all the teams training/riding together for DC.

 

They bunch groups and it's difficult to tell how long between say G and T will expire, since it depends a lot on how many groups/"letters" they combine per start group on the day.

 

Can't recall exact time intervals, but guessing arond 2-3 mins between groups...(?)
