Advice required on hybrids

I am investigating a Hybrid for my wife. So will never go offroad (she actually holds the brakes on inclines) but still we need a bike on which she can do the 94 for example and use at a holiday resort with the kids. So a road bike is out off the question.

 

Suggestions? R10-15k

you can get a really nice bike for that budget, look at something like a scott speedster. or a 29" MTB with slick tyres - - - you shouldnt have to spend more than 10k to get something really nice to do the job - keep in mind spending money for spares,helmet,kit etc...

 

if she s worried about the tyre width - the majority of hybrids use the same width tyres as road bikes - just a more comfy / upright riding position

 

the MTB option is the way forward if youre just looking for a decent all purpose bike to have fun with (29" MTB wheels = 700c road wheels - just can take wider tyres)
