I have a carbon road fork that I want to use but its been laying in the garage and has some scratches on it. How to I go about to refurbish/respray the clear lacquer coat?

If the steerer is aluminium chances are you will have to spray the whole fork. Its nice when its just all carbon then you can just spray a clelar over it and showoff the naked weave. Don't Use Paint Stripper. It will damage carbon and the bonding agent. A light grit wet sand paper should do the trick to get old paint off just to expose the weave and then primer and at least two coats colour and then finish off with clear. Give a light wet sand between coats when dried properly. Post the results.

Take it to the local panelbeater - they will spray clear on most repairs, and will generally have enough mixed left over to do it for you - might even do it for nothing.
