get morewood to do so. Every weld is a spesific thing. I am a Engineer working with welding. it takes allot of time and money to develop the correct and the strongest weld design for a aplication. First it is the material considiration, weld size, minimum and maximum heat, gas mixture for the weld ect... if heat treated aluminium is welded the material will most probably return to the anealed(softest) condistions. Not such a big problem with un-heat treated alu.

aks morewood otherwise you are gambling. it might pay off though.
