Considered a ‘rest day’ for the 2013 ABSA Cape Epic competitors, Stage Three was anything but a gentle pedal around the Tulbagh Valley. Encircled by the Obiqua, Winterhoek and Witzenberg Mountains, the battle-weary riders pedaled through 94km of jeep paths and single-track in a figure of eight route. With 1950m of vertical ascent, it was by no means an easy day in the saddle… It is, after all, the ABSA Cape Epic!
