Cell Phone GPS use for MTB routes

anyone know if you can get an app or similar that you can make up a route via say Garmap or T4A and then save the file on your cell and then use it while cycling?

 

Especially when you cycle in a new area.

If you pre-plan the route on a PC and save it to the cell you can just check where you are now and again when in range.

 

I have found Endomondo on my BB pretty good at showing off road trails and you can more or less get by on that.

 

Last used it at Jonkershoek and got me to the top of the hill.

Not sure if its available for BB, but recently loaded an app called "OsmAnd" on my Android phone that claims to do exactly what you need - havent had the chance to test it fully yet, but looked pretty good.

Yeah, I use endomondo, very easy to create a route but use it to find some nice places to ride and see how many km's I will be doing

Try GPS logger on BB. I used it to log rides and you can follow previously recorded rides, but maybe you can try importing routes.

Yeah, on PC, go to Routes and Create Routes, Then from your BB, endomondo app, just select under workout, follow a route.
