Not at all, get a chain tensioner, and it can be done without the chain tensioner as well.

Single speed with a chain tensioner will be fine. Fixed gear will make a tensioner explode when you brake with the pedals, and you'll hurt yourself.

Without a tensioner is possible, but you'll need to find the magic gear. This gear will also change as the chain wears and elongates. You need to keep a close eye on chain wear, or you run the risk of dropping your chain and humping your stem.

Weedmod, you're quite right... but you can usually just use a spacer to make up the 10mm difference.

Guys, I am not a Roadie, this bike is for critical mass and for the fun, probably use it 2/3 times a month. I just wanted to build up something cool for the fun. Maybe sell it after and start up a new project.

I am going single Speed for this one. Already got a tensioner, so I will use it. I'm not to cool without brakes!!!!

I think it's a good price though, so if the shipping is not too expensive, will it be possible to just rebuild the back wheel with a road hub? If it's to be used on a road frame ofcourse
