3 reserves MTB Chalenge

A Fantastic opportunity to explore the Game Reserves in the Lowveld of Swaziland. The 3 Reserves MTB Classic is an event with a variety of distances for all levels of cyclists. Join us for a day of fun in the African Bush riding along a lot of jeep tracks and game trails, through 3 of Swaziland's pristine game reserves and have a fun energetic time with friends and family.

 

10km FUN RIDE

 

This ride is for the family and kids, the ride takes you through the cane fields with a small bit of single track.

 

23km INTERMEDIATE RIDE

 

The 23km route goes through the cane fields then does a circuit in the Hlane game reserve All on good roads.

 

36km CLASSIC

 

36km of enjoyable riding on jeep tracks and single track through 2 game Reserves

 

The 36km ride is the ideal entry race to mountain bike racing, the route is 100% rideable.

 

Top riders would be expected to complete the route in 1hour 30 minutes with the average rider taking 2hours 30 minutes.

 

72km MARATHON

 

The 72 Km race takes riders through three of the best game reserves in Swaziland, traversing Hlane, Mbuluzi and Mlawula game reserves

 

The 72km race is the ideal ride for the serious rider who wants to shake off some of the winter fat and get the legs turning. The top riders would be expected to complete the race in 3 hours.

 

72 km's of flowing trails consisting of jeep tracks, single track with a balance of undulating hills and steep climbs. The surface is generally hard but can get really soft after rain.

 

 

 

Altitude varies from 140m - 265m Above sea level. The elevation gained during the ride is around 860m. The maximum slope is 10.5% -not for the faint-hearted or weak legged!
