Brackenfell MTB Routes

I will be in Brackenfell for about a week with loads of free time, specifically Vredekloof.

 

Are there any good MTB routes close-by, or will I have to drive to some fun routes?

 

I don't know the area at all, so any advice will be appreciated.

 

PS: I am rather unfit, so I am not looking to join any group rides

You can try Bottelary Hills - about 10k away from Vredekloof, but you will need a day pass.

Look at Tygerberg MTB website for their routes. Further out Stellenbosch (Jonkershoek and around) or Tokai.
