Hi Gen

With regards to dirtmax, where is the new venue?

I must say I find it strange that you guys don't enjoy the bit on the island. Best part of the race for me especially when it is dry. I must admit it can get very muddy and mucky when wet.

You talking about the first climb being 3 km from the end now. Is that the one in the game camp with the loose rocks you are talking about?

I suppose the owners of Shilo Shalom got gatvol of the mtb'ers washing their bikes in the swimming pool and that is why dirtmax was kicked out?

Hi

It's now at Stonehedge in africa.. fascilities are much better.

Yeah it's that what used to be that first rockey climb that is now at the end.

The island bit ai it's not that I don't like it just I just feel that I am riding in circles.. in the past was at end. . Now obviously not at end.. you ride the island then go out the way you used to start the race to the rocky climb. But like I said so many people skipped it the island they are either going to have to put a timing mat there or cut it out. (not me I didn't skip it, I maar went to go play in the mud ;) )

I actually think the changes have made it harded for erm mere mortals.. to have to do the island bit and then still go to the rocky climb after 57km.. sjoe..

You start now heading to that short steep climb at the quarry... then to the district road to that other push of a climb, then to the bit that goes to that white house then island then other rocky climb and you end at venue.

Whow! That climb was hard enough where it was! To have it right at the end now is surely a killer!

Have you by any chance done our 2 River Challenge in Bothaville yet?

No I haven't ridden the Bothaville one. I have however heard about it.. it's the one with all the soft river sand hey? When is it?

20 September, just a week after Crater. Our race form part of a FS MTB series this year and I think it is the last race in the series. We do our best to remove or miss as much of the sand as possible. The route is really a gem and a must do if you live close enough. Hoping to see you in September!

New FS MTB series.

Thx.. we are in Klerksdorp so we could with a bit of planning do a couple of those.. I am looking to do more events. This is a great help.

In the past I didn't like the idea of too many events, cause I have never really been in the right form to do them . BUT Really enjoying it at the moment and slowly getting fitter and a bit stronger. . So looking to ride different trails.
