Hijack in Pierre van Ryneveld

Unconfirmed, but a guy at work said that his brother in law was attacked by three individuals in Pierre van Ryneveld last night. Apparently pushed him off his bike and stabbed him at the same time and made off with his bike etc. he spent the night in hospital but is apparently ok. Does anyone know any more I.r.o. Location?

Not the first case in Pierre van Ryneveld. A few weeks ago similar situation where guy got beat up. Seems level of attack and violence is increasing

At approximately 18:58 on Sunday 2014/10/12 I drove down Van Ryneveld Ave in the direction from the CPF offices/Spar towards Waterkloof Ridge and noticed a man laying on the ground with 2 ADT vehicles parked close-by with their hazards on at the robot at the intersection/T-junction between Van Ryneveld Ave, opposite the entrance to the Aerosud Complex. I could not make out whether the person on the ground was white or black, as it was already quite dark. When I reached the intersection of Van Ryneveld Ave/Hans Strijdom Ave, a SAPS vehicle turned into Van Ryneveld Ave, but I am not sure if it was on it's way to the scene. On my way back from Waterkloof Ridge, probably within 10min, I actually turned off Van Ryneveld Ave into Van der Spuy road on my way home. By that time, the person was still laying on the corner with the 2 ADT vehicle's close-by, but no SAPSvehicle in sight. I am not sure whether the PVR CPF was informed of the incident. Maybe the Lyttleton SAPS can shed more light.

PS. Was the attacked person on a bicycle or motorbike? I didn't see any vehicle that might have struck the person, nor a bicycle or motorbike in the vicinity.
