Event Name: G2C -- Pennypinchers Grahamstown2Sea 13 JULY
When: 13 July 2014
Where: Grahamstown to Port Alfred, Eastern Cape, Eastern Cape
Category: MTB

Entries are open!!

Track, dirt and serious fun! Hosted by Saints & Sinners Cycling Club, the Pennypinchers G2C is a fast, fun and furious 58km ride from the hills to the sea.

Start: Grahamstown, Pennypinchers warehouse, off Rautenbach Road

Finish: Port Alfred, Rosehill Mall, just off the R72

The route takes riders over Mountain Drive via jeep track, followed by a rock-n-roll technical drop past the toposcope, down through the fast, windy Woesthill pass and on beyond Southwell to the coast. BUT, riders beware: it's not all downhill!

Last year's winning break came on one of the long uphills, so you have to be sharp at the front end!

And then there's the sting in the tail: some really awesome cross-country riding through donga and over yonder dale that spits you out at the finish and will leave a smile on anyone's face.

The course is suitable for all kinds of riders -- ride it or race it, the choice is yours! Route profile and map available on the event website -- www.grahamstown2sea.co.za

G2C takes place on 13 July, the last day of the National Arts Festival, so Festinos, bring your bike!

You don't want to miss this one!!

Start is 8h30 - plenty of time if you want to drive in from out of town.

Return transport for you and your bike from Port Alfred to Grahamstown is available (limited, subject to availability and pre-booked).

Cost R150 (online entries) or R200 (late entries, limited and subject to availability).
