Where to ride in Kimberley

Going to Kimberley at the end of April. I am looking to get 2 long distance training rides in in the week that I am there.

 

Where do I go for distance on gravel? It need not be to technical.

 

Can I cycle on the railway service road out towards Modderrivier?

Chat to Wimpie at Alpha Beta cycle. He is very helpfull and when I went there 2 years ago he pointed me to a trail on the cape town road. Out to the trail + the trailand back was about 70km

Jip. Very flat. Except for the trail. Slight inclines but nothing hectic

go along the rail service roads. there is also a 60km loop that the guys ride on weekends.

 

fairly flat and not technical at all. the wind is the mountains. Speak to Wimpy or wait by the garage (I think it is a Caltex) on the cape town road. everyone passes there to get to the rail.
