Alu Freewheel hubs and Steel Cassettes

so....my 11T was skipping on a relatively new drivetrain. This weekend i took my cassette off and the splines on the alu freehub are totally worn away at the 11T mark (the splines are no more). The second ring was a little bit nicked but not too bad and the rest looked fine. I tend to stand and push hard on my 11T so I am guessing this is the reason.

 

I kind of knew this would happen as investigated the cost scenarios of buying a xx cassette vs a 1070 cassette at the time of replacing and opted for the latter...but i never realised it would be so brutal - and oddly only at one point.

 

Its going to stay like that for a while as finances are a bit tight. just going to adjust my riding style slightly to accommodate

 

oh - they are ZTR Alpines (circa 2011)

 

One Question - I see you can get a steel freehub for the ZTR 3.30 hubs now but I have no idea if my hubs are 3.30 or whatever was before...anyone have any idea, as when I replace the freewheel hub, I would preferably get a steel one
