A few people from the hub and I will be exploring the reserve tomorrow.

From what we can see the terrain looks quite technical and challenging at places!

With any luck we will find some great trails that we can ride regularly as a group.

We are setting off from the corner of Ag de Wit and Kloof at 8am tomorrow, anyone is welcome to come and explore with us.

Today's ride is postponed until we can get a bigger group going.

Feel free to suggest days and times if you want to join. Hopefully we can get it going next weekend.

How did it pan out ..... worth a look?..

Would appreciate any insights.

Cheers

We only got about 1km in from the corner of Ag de Wit and kloof before I got a puncture.

What we did ride was very promising though, some rocky technical climbs and the person who joined me reported a fun ride back down with rocks and drop offs.

There is also what looks like a steep technical descent down to a gate that goes out onto kloof.

We are planning to organise another ride to venture further in.

Thanks! From what I can see on the sat. images it is only about 4.3km long but I can imagine the terrain must be quite challenging in parts. From a security perspective ...?? ..... is it open access / vagrants / litter ...?? When you get a decent size group together please drop me a line. Cheers. T

It's open access, and there is some litter.

We did not see any vagrants on our ride, only people passing through.

We don't really know what it's like further in from a security perspective, so a group would be best to explore initially.

Hope to see you on the next ride!

Cool, I will bring the knife, baseball bat and knuckle dusters if you sort the pepper spray and tazer ..... :whistling: probably a good idea to have strength in numbers for such a recce. Let us know when you have gathered a small army ......

Did anything ever come out of this?

Just moved to the area and after living in Cape Town and Sandton where I had the mountain and the spruit on my doorstep, I am seriously getting cabin fever!
