New handlbars on old stem?

I have played around with lever position and handlebar tilt and have reached a best-fit situation, but still cant comfortably operate the brakes or shifters. Tried tracking down an A-headset adaptor but no luck so far. And the y-foils were only produced 1998-99.

where'd you find them and how much did you pay?

I bought mine from a guy in joburg, he imported them from total cycling I think he said.

You will probably struggle to get here in SA, but most UK based shop should stock, like Chain Reaction, Merlin, etc.
