Instead of riding to defend the lead they’d claimed on Sunday’s opening prologue time trial, Germans Tim Bohme and Simon Stiebjahn of Team Bulls rode an aggressive Stage 1 from Oudtshoorn to Calitzdorp on Monday to increase their overall lead at the Bridge Cape Pioneer Trek international mountain bike stage race.
