Name cant be blank Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Hi all, Like the title says, I am looking for a bike for my wife.Planning to ride on the road only, she had a mountain bike before but lost interest, looking to give it another go. The bug has bitten as she supports me at races. I don’t think she would really be able to handle a road bike, she is a bit on the clumsy side So I am thinking about a road hybrid. Is a road hybrid (with 700 wheels) worth it and faster/smoother than a mountain bike with slicks on? It also helps that if it is faster I can Borrow it for the CTCT seeing that we use the same size bike (I have a mountain bike) She is 177, looking second hand at around R3k for a starter bike.
