BryanGT Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 So the bug has bit and I went and got myself a GT Avalanche 1.0. 2012 model, xl frame, 29er I have been riding off road motorcycles for a while now. So hitting the dirt is definitely not foreign to me. However what is foreign there is no engine ! Apparently a decent bike! Got a helmet Got some Olympic MTB shoes, had to as the bike came with shimano clipless pedals! Ha ha Got some padded shorts. Have already smashed 37kms since Friday, so I will need some TITS as the bike behaves very different to an off road bike! But loving the exercise part, I have been browsing plenty and will definitely need advice on trails around JHB and to meet up with some fellow MTB Riders! Over and out

You ride along that trail north all the way to witkoppen road... But there are numerous points for you to turn around if you don't want to do the full ride.
BryanGT Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 Ayoh hit Northern Farms on Saturday, what a ride!! Did some Blue, Red, Black Route, managed 34kms Yip now I am investigating the next ride!! Cant wait !
