Hi Guys,

I'm looking to buy a Titan Comp 29er because it was recommended to me by the guy @ Wesdene Cycle as having some good components for the price.

Can you please give me some advise on whether its a good buy and if there are any other bikes worth considering.

Its going for R10,3K and the specs are listed below;

Frame: Hydroformed X7 Disc Fork: Rockshox XC32 SOLO Air TK Lockout Brakes: Shimano M355 with Tektro Rotor 180/160mm Chainwheel: Shimano M522 42-32-22T Front derailleur: Shimano FD-M610 Rear derailleur: Shimano SLX Bar: Titan Flat Bar 660mm Stem: Titan Comp Hubs: Alloy Disc Q/R Rims: Titan 29R Disc Saddle: Selle Royal Seta S1 Post: Titan Comp Shifters: Shimano SLX Tyres: Schwalbe Racing Ralph Performance Wire 29” X 2.25”

For that price its not bad.Do you want to buy new or will you settle for a second hand bike?Lots of great second hand bikes with better components out there.Especially if you want to test the water to see if mountain biking is for you..

I ride carbon titan elite 650b and its a very nice bike.

Thanks, I have been looking at both new and second hand, I struggled to find a second hand that would suite my size within the budget.

I'm 1.83m tall and need a large size bike.

I tested the Comp and it felt comfortable, was just not sure if there was something i could have missed in terms of the components value.

Thanks again!
