Buyers Choice - Merida Big 9 Carbon xt 29r OR Giant xtc 29r

Hey Guys,

 

i need some help here, i am trading in my Scott Spark 40 for a new 29r (Hardtail) and it has come down to basically 2 bikes of similar price. The Merida Big 9 Carbon XT or the Giant XTC. i have heard a lot about the standard wheel of the Merida been "slow" and an upgrade on those would be a good start. Any alternate choices to the above 2 bikes would also be greatly appreciated!!
