When i collected my bike on Friday from the LBS

I noticed that they had turned my shock around???

When I asked why they said it was easier to access the dials

Does is affect the performance of the shock ?

I haven't done this to personally give an opinion, but my understanding is no. My bike's spec even say you can turn it around without affect.

In practice it does not matter.  Position it to best access the controls.  In theory you want the lubricating oil in the air sleeve to contact the piston so air can up would be best but not all shocks use oil and it does not seem to matter for those that do
