Replacing rings is possible but as we use propriety rings these will have to be bought from us, they expected between R2 - 3k so slightly more than normal rings but once every 18 months / 2 years is not that bad.

Thanks for the info ,not that bad at all

Just had to make a similar choice. In the end I bought both a SRM power meter and a set of Darhorse wheels. The wheels will give you instant cool look on your bike and will give you a bit more speed. The power meter, that is hard work, had it for almost 2 months now and still learning the benefits, reading various books and web sites. So far all I know is that I can keep a certain watts up a hill. It's helpful but takes a long time and a lot reading and understanding. I have also found that my indoor trainer watts readout is wildly inaccurate so now I am shopping for a more accurate trainer. Steep learning curve on the Power Meter and benefits a long way off.

On the Dark Horse wheels, great looking wheels and not expensive but not as great a more expensive wheels. So I just bought a set of FFWD carbon hand built wheels for racing and will use the Darkhorse for training rides. Make no mistake they are still faster than a aluminium rim but not properly balance etc.

If you get a power meter also invest in a coach or at least a few sessions.
