The Kamberg has earned a reputation for authentic, awesome mountain biking, and this year, due to popular demand from the riders, the Kamberg will host a Classic.

 

Country Life found the Kamberg to be one of SA’s top 10 mountain biking destinations and races like joBerg2C have put this valley on the Mountain Biking map. The Kamberg Classic is 65km, a mix of single track, jeep track, farm roads and forest trail; about 20km of which is purpose built, sublime single track! But what makes this ride special is that it brings the “mountain back into mountain biking”. Local farmers allow access to their land and some of the most spectacular vantage points; from the top of the Kamberg the views over the Drakensberg are spectacular. You seriously have to ride this valley!

 

The Kamberg Classic is scheduled for the first weekend in September, 1 weeks before Hill2Hill and a month before Berg&Bush making it the ideal training ride. Marking is traditional signage and GPS.

 

The Kamberg Classic is hosted at Glengarry, Kamberg. On Saturday 5 September there is a 20km & 40km ride and the race will take place on Sunday 6 September with a choice of 25km or 65km. You can enter for one or both days.
