Any one that can give me advise on this

I have a 10 spd Shimano 105 on my road bike

But I want to fit a flat handle bar with i.e. XT shifters....

Will that work?

Nope.

XT shifters will not work with a Shimano 10sp road derailleur.

You will need to fit an XT or other shimano 10sp MTB RD in order for the configuration to work.

10sp Shimano road and MTB equipment have different actuation ratios.

9sp 105 and 9sp XT would work, though

Tiagra has a flat handle-bar shifter varient; however finding one from your LBS will be tricky to say the least & it'll be easier to get them through online-dealers.

Also keep in mind that, you'll also need to purchase a set of cable brake-leaver (as the leaver sold separately from the shifter unit)

total cost of the shifter and brake-leaver will works out slightly cheaper than the set of STI leavers based on the retail-prices in the online shops.
