LouisS Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Need some advice please? Currently running a shimano xt 38/26 crank with 11/36 casette which I manage easily. Doing Epic next year and have been advised to get a "proper" granny gear. I am not a very strong rider and am thinking of replacing the front 26t chainring with a 24t chainring. See that you can get a xt 24t chainring for about R200. Anyone else running this combo. Any problems with shifting? Wouldn't think that it would be a problem as i see that you can get the 2x10 xt crank in either 38/26 or 38/24? Thanks in advance!
