  1. Will this strap fit the Garmin Fenix 6 (not pro version)? Not a Garmin product, but cost less than half of the Garmin product. https://m.takealot.com/silicone-band-for-garmin-fenix-5-forerunner-935-red-22mm/PLID47077073?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI78zugJmw5gIVkNDeCh1J5wjmEAQYAyABEgIEz_D_BwE
  2. Thanks Coppi, no we will be a few people riding.
  3. Thanks, but posts from 2011 is not going to help allot.
  4. Would of being quicker just to answer the question than being sarcastic.
  5. Hi, Anyone cycled Breedsnek lately? Haven’t done it for a while, and would like to go and ride it again. Any incidents reported lately? Read a while ago of some incidents, cyclists robbed, etc. but that was some time ago. Can you stills go and park at the farm just outside Hekpoort? Thanks in advance!
  6. Some advise from the experienced Ironman campaigners please? This will be my 1st Ironman and would like to know what the watertables are like? What do they serve at the watertables in terms of food and drink on the bike and run leg? Is it necessary to take your own food? And own endurance drinks? I heard you get a extra back which you leave somewhere on the course where you can stash some food should you want to? Some nutrition strategies for the day please? What and where do you leave food? Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks! Never thought of wearing cycling bib under wetsuit.
  8. I’m new to triathlon’s and if all goes well i’ll be dong the Full Ironman in April. Just a question on clothing. Have done a few standard distances in a triathlon short and shirt. If i’m not worried to lose a few minutes in transition, will it be frowned upon if i do my swim in a speedo and wetsuit, change to a proper cycling bib and cycling short for the cycling leg and change into a running short and shirt for the running leg? Will use a towel wrapped around me to change? Your thoughts wh been there and done it? Thanks in advance!
  9. I’m new to Triathlon’s and did my 2nd Triathlon ever this weekend at Buffelspoort (5150) which went ok (did Buffelspoort Xterra 4 years ago). Legs were quite tired at the end though!! I was crazy enough to enter for the Full IM in PE next and would like to get some advice on training programs. I did Epic in 2016 and Comrades this year and usually took a recovery week after 3 weeks of training. Has anyone or planning to use Coach Parry’s Full Ironman Program which you can download for free? It is a 12 week program but I don’t really see recovery weeks? I was thinking of changing the 12 weeks to a 15/16 week program by building in a recovery week in after every 3 weeks of training. Any thoughts or advice. Anyone used this program in the past and how did it go? Thanks in advance.
  10. No, he is a very reputable tri coach as well. I’m just worried about the lack of recovery weeks. Would like to hear your what others say.
