The Transkei Slowride is a five day fully catered mountain bike trail opening in March 2016, and can be ridden any time of the year.

The 350 km route starts in the Drakensberg Mountains, near Naudes Nek (the highest road in South Africa) and descends through the grassy uplands of the Eastern Cape, through the spectacular Mzimvubu Valley to Port St Johns on the Wild Coast. The route takes riders through numerous unique landscapes in one of the most beautiful and rural parts of South Africa.

Each day consists of 50-100 km of riding, with overnight camps in spectacular locations along the trail. The trail costs R7,500 per person and is fully catered (dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch) with accommodation provided. Bookings before January 2016 will receive a discounted rate of R5,000 per person.
