joburgnel Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Hi all, once again I am one of the newcomers to the cycling world and I am looking at buying my first decent MTB, but here's the catch, I don't have a big budget so can only afford up to R5500 give or take. I've looked around some local bike shops here and found that the Titan and the Lycan is within my range, both seems pretty solid but somehow I am not sure which is the better one. I need help please!Thanka in advance

And I agree, any bike you get for 5500 new will have sub standard components, and a rubbish front fork. Try looking in classifieds for something with SLX components and a rock shox or fox fork.
