Bizkit031 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Good news...I think Clearing of Stage 3 of the Enduro route is going well and should be done by Friday. I will then post the a map and description and open it for riding/practice. I have decided to release Stage 3 before Stage 2 as Stage 2 has some exposed sections which need to be brushcut.. and because they are exposed the undergrowrth re-grows very quickly. Griffin Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Pedal Dammit... just PEDAL!! and flow... the elusive flow...minimal braking, maximum speed Been a bit of a challenge to find big elevation drops....mostly because I really didn't want to use much of the sections used in the last Enduro and because I wanted this to be more of a Enduro that didn't suite only the big travel Enduro bikes... thereby making it a great event across the age groups and and Enduro that suites all skills sets. That means there are peddly pieces in all 3 stages.. but it also means that you can do this Enduro (and maybe even podium) on any bike, hard tails included.

The route will be made public this evening Stage is the longest route in distance but probably one of the fastest in time as there is little technical riding. The top section is where you may dab down a foot.. the middle section is fast and curvy and the last section peddly. We have had some heavy rain over the last 2 days so please be careful out there if riding. It will be slippery in places!! Remember the route is not yet marked and will be cleared again just before race day

Never. At all. You WILL be DQ'd and you WILL be prosecuted, banned and named 'n shamed.No mercy. - Ride within your limits. You are never as good as you think you are, Teeth are expensive. - Have a annual membership or a day licence and have your board mounted on your bike or have the day licence available for inspection - No helmet, No ride. Simple. - Remember the Enduro runs cross over other trails that are live and active up until race day. Be aware of other riders and courteous at all times - This is the PLANNED Stage 3..it may change before race day if circumstances change - Track has been cleared but dont expect it clear as a freeway. It will be re-cleared before race day - Please report anything (trail/conditions/illegal rider etc) with as many details as you have directly to info@howickmountainbiking.co.za The route is UNMARKED at this stage Stage 3 per trail names : - Firetower (Start) - Catheryns - Crank Alley - Haibo - Karls - Dr Keytels - Howies - Howies 2 (left at the split) - New Trac - Bonga Bonga - Finish
