05H15 we arrived at Cycle Lab Lynnwood….not knowing what to expect as it was raining hard last night.   As time passed more and more people turned up….new members, previous members, new riders young and older which all off course signed up!  We had different groups of Road & Mountain bikes, racing snakes & beginners taking off in a nice big groups with Marshalls in front and back!  Support vehicle following too!

The beginner group had nice easy ride with 2 experienced & qualified trainers which gave them a lot of tips & tricks!  Thank you Mark and Cathy!

The Mountain bike warriors came back with nice bit of mud marks and you could hear the excitement of the group!  Wow felt like I was there!

I can with proudness say that our first ride was a very huge success with a lot of excitement, full of energy!  With our free coffee and muffin on return at our Fixies deck Restaurant the day was surely worth every minute!  So join us every Saturday for rides and breakfast specials!

The fact that you could keep up in a fasted state for 90% of the ride is already a good indicator! ☺

I don't normally consume too much on shorter rides, but find I run out of energy towards the end of rides closer to 100km, no matter what I eat/drink. I'm hoping this helps with that.

I was NOT having a good time though. Blood sugar was down in the dumps during the last couple of climbs.
