Teenager riding a bicycle knocked over, killed just outside Carletonville

I had an interesting chat about lights yesterday.

 

My mate reckons he rides with flashing red/white lights ALL the time. He said there was a noticeable difference in the gap cars gave him when over taking when he had his flashers on.

 

It's a damn fine idea. One I have adopted. I haven't had them on long enough to make claims about overtaking gaps but I'm going to continue doing. It's a way of being noticed a bit more and subtly saying "I'm making the effort to be seen".

 

I reckon we all should all do it.
