Info Please - Wonderboom Nature Reserve

Good morning,

 

Has anyone used a bike on the trails at Wonderboom Nature Reserve in Pretoria?

 

I know you are allowed to hike up the mountain to the Fort, but was wondering if bikes are allowed.

 

Any info would be appreciated.

As far as I know there are no trails on that side of the mountain.There are marked trails on the eastern side of Voortrekker rd. behind Wonderboom High school.

Thanks for the feedback. Are those trails safe to ride? There have been a few stories, not specifically related to biking, about dodgy people on the mountain. I feel it might be the same as what you might encounter at Groenkloof. 

 

I know the trails at the nature reserve itself is for hiking, even though it's not really marked. Went hiking up the mountain in November.

We have not encountered any.But I would not ride alone on these trails ,you never know.
