Event Name: Howick Trails- KZN MTB Prov Enduro #3

Where: Karkloof Farmers Market, Kwazulu-Natal
Category: Enduro

The 2016 KZN MTB Enduro Series #3 takes place on 21 May 2016 on the Howick MTB Club Trails. Please note that the stages will be of Provincial Series standard and are more difficult than the previous Howick Club Enduro.

 

Note that The Enduro takes place on Howick Trails (21 May) and the DH on Karkloof Trails (22 May). Howick and Karkloof are separate trail networks and require separate day licences if riding prior to the event!

Yes i agree, this late start starts dont really help us riders....maybe organisers can give reason for late start.

They say that it gives the guys time to ride the trails,ride it the day before or not at all and go in blind. But their excuse is that the guys from far don't have that luxury,I live an hour away and I don't have that luxury but I don't bitch and moan we just ride it blind and take it as it comes. At least a early start gives us more time to have some beers. There are a lot of guys who feel the same way about the start time issue.

Un-official Enduro route practice taking place tomorrow afternoon from the Pyga shop in Howick (Yard 41). Meet at 130pm to depart at 2pm. Please ensure you have an annual Howick/Karkloof membership or a day licence. Day licences will be available at Pyga (R30pppd).

@KingTJ One of the reasons is ... our sponsors work a half day on Saturday ... and would also like to ride - so they actually asked for it to start at noon - but we said no .... so we compromised with 11am ...

 

This gives a lot of people time to get there from work, or school on a Saturday ... we did it before and tried early starts but you loose a large chunk of your rider base.
