Hi All,

 

Are there trails available over Paardeberg (Paarl)?

 

From Google maps, I can see paths all over the hill, and I've been looking at a route from Fynbos Estate in a South-Easterly direction towards what looks like an extension of Slent road. I don't know if it's still Slent road at that point? 

 

If there are trails that are generally accessible to the public, are there fees or permits involved? Where would one pay fees and obtain these permits?

 

Is it safe to ride here alone? Yes, I understand the risks of riding a MTB alone in case of an accident, but I'm more referring to safety from other people. I don't really feel like being hijacked or mugged on a ride.

 

Anyone keen to join me?
