A while back a mate imported a box of the really bright lights with a battery pack...a couple months later i switched on and within 2 seconds it would switch off...thinking the batteries were poked...turns out it was the charge unit in the shrink wrap...so i removed the batteries which are still working and bought this weatherproof enclosure with a battery charge indicator...4 spare batteries and walla it is now attached to the trek for winter.

 

 

 

 

 

Spare set is handy when you press the charge indicator and realize you forgot to charge after the last ride

 

 

 

 

Not forgetting the usb plug just in case you need to charge the go pro or phone etc [emoji6]

This rear light is nice and robust...thick rubber protection and strap...single led is bright enough and rechargeable.

 

Not suitable for me...it switches off before i finish my ride and has no battery indicator...only while charging.

I have been using this giant light to early morning group rides...not ideal....not sure that it is even visible to motorists...still better than nothing...maybe 10 of them on front [emoji12]

 

Not rechargeable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I started out using these lights...bought a pile of them at the china mall for R10 each...now i keep them in the door on my car and give them away to cyclist i see riding in the dark without any lights...after almost hitting one on nmr road one early morning.
