BC Epic 1000.

This event is the brainchild of, and initiated by a "Local Boytjie"  from Namibia/South-Africa. (Now living in BC) 

 

The inaugural start is 25 June 2016.

 

Bike packing "race"  in BC Canada  along the lines of the Oregon Outback or Tour  Divide in the USA. 

 

Self supported and Self timed.

 

Seems like about 25 riders will pitch in Merrit  at the start  for the inaugural ride.

It seems if about 66 rides will line up in Merrit BC. 

 

Is might be a wet  race this year. 

 

Current record Eastbound is  3 Days 15 hours 41 minutes. 

 

This year there is Evan Deutsch, TD veteran and winner of  Trans Am 2017 (breaking Mike Hall's 2014 record)  and also Janie Hayes , 1st woman and 3rd overall in Trans Am 2017.
