Constantia to Paarden Eiland

I have been asked to find a safe cycling route from Colyn Road Constantia to Hermes Street Paarden Eiland. The main problem is how to get across the N1 without using the slip roads...does anybody commute this route and have an answer?

I ride that route every day (from newlands). Can take liesbeek parkway to woodstock, then get on cycle track at woodstock and goes all the way to paarden eiland. Just be on the look out for dodgy characters around the bridge under the N1
