Agree with Bonts and Spez, like the Fizik as well.

 

I have a similar problem-wide forefoot. Also have a pair of Lakes and they were a bit wide for me, so if you are looking for similar I would go Bont, Fizik, Spez.

 

Stay away from Sidi, not made for us ducks.

Have a pair of Diadora. Quite a narrow toe on them, which is why I won't be particularly sad to see them go.

Thanks Sarge, and Shaper who suggested Specialized - and to all of you who contributed advice - went to Cyclelab today but settled on the Specialized "Expert" at Complete Cyclist in Main Road Bryanston.
