With just 2 full days of racing having taken place thus far. RSA has already taken 2 medals with some long standing RSA records been broken.

On Sunday Gert Fouche rode the quickest qualifying time for the 3000m pursuit (male 35 - 39 years) in a new SA record time of 3:24.670. In the ride off for gold and silver Gert was beaten into the Silver medal position.

Saturday saw Hylton Belitzky (male 40 - 44 years) ride the 3rd fastest time in the 750m pursuit time 51.114. While Gert Fouche broke the RSA record for 1000m (male 35 - 39 years) in a time of 1.07.095 to finish 4th.

Gary Mandy Ex RSA rider in the 80ies broke the world record this morning in the 2000m pursuit (male 55 - 59 years) time: 2:19.395

John Moss 3rd in the (male 70 -74) points race. Amazing - when I started racing 33 years ago he had already been racing for a number of years and still going strong.
