Trainerroad and Tacx

Hello All

 

So since about 2 weeks ago I am having trouble with my Trainerroad and Tacx Vortex Smart trainer. Nothing has changed in terms of hardware etc.

 

I do use an extension cable for my Ant+ dongle on my laptop as well.

 

So the problem is: When you load the program all is well and the trainer can be calibrated etc. When the intervals start and the trainers adjusts the resistance, in order to push you towards target power, upward everything works fine.

When the interval is over however, the brake does not release again back to the lower target power.  It only happens around 20min into the program and before that the brake upward and downward adjustment works perfectly.

 

I have not upgraded any firmware on the brake (other than when I bought it) so it cannot be that.

 

My only guess could be that the Trainerroad software update has a bug?

Tacx said they have had a few queries about Trainerroad brake issues over the last few days but they couldn't give further info

 

Has anyone experienced this and possibly have a fix... It terrible to just get into it and then experiencing issues
