Best women's hardtail for under R22k

Hi All,

 

Please can you recommend some quality women's hardtail bikes that are well specced and good value for money?

 

Don't mind if it's a guy bike, can just use the small frame.

 

So far I have looked at, Scott scale contessa 910, specialized Jett pro, Merida big nine xt edition

Out of the ones listed I would go for the Merida, nicely specced bike. I would also advise looking at Titan 29R pro, almost the same specs as the Merida but has full SLX brake set and better wheels (Stans ZRT Rapid) comes factory fitted with tubeless(ready) tires (so requires sealant only) imho best mtb under 20k, and I did A LOT of research before my purchase.

 

Also worth noting more often than not women specific is a term used mostly for purple or pink paint jobs that adds a premium and no real functionality.
